  • Starting in 2011, North Star Counseling Center was conceptualized by Inyo County Superintendent of Schools, Terry McAteer and Mono County Office of Education, Stacey Adler. Many families were unable to afford private counseling services and the local county mental health agencies at times experienced exceptionally high caseloads. Their goal was to provide an environment in which students and families of the communities of Inyo and Mono counties were able to access affordable counseling and therapy. Now recognized as North Star Services, we continue this effort.

  • North Star Services are provided by Licensed, Associate and Student Trainee level clinicians who are attending or have graduated from a Master Level Graduate Program in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT, AMFT), Clinical Social Work (LCSW, ACSW), or Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC, PCC) under regular supervision by a California Licensed Psychotherapist.
